Gerardo Corzo Burguete

Dr. Gerardo studied a bachelor in industrial biochemical engineering (1986) at the Universidad Autonoma Metropolitana, Iztapalapa, Mexico. He studied a Master in Sciences specialized in biotechnology by the Biomedical Research Institute, UNAM (1993). He studied his PhD studies at the University of Oklahoma, after he graduated, he obtained a postdoctoral position at “Suntory Institute for Bioorganic Research”, Osaka, Japan where he also conducted research as an associate investigator. In 2004, he started to work as an investigator level “C” at the Molecular Medicine and Bioprocess Department, Biotechnology Institute, UNAM. Dr. Corzo´s research has focused in the protein chemistry of animal secretions and venoms. He has published over 100 research papers in several JCR journals, he also has several patents and scientific divulgation papers. He also has collaborated in different recently with LAVIN industries.
